VAT

As an individual business below the VAT exemption threshold, Releasy may be exempt from VAT. Any intra-community VAT number will be provided on request once assigned.

2. Hosting and Infrastructure

2.1 – Web hosting and CDN

The Releasy website and application are hosted and distributed via:

2.2 – Application infrastructure

Application processing (release note generation, API, database) is hosted on servers located in the European Union, in compliance with the GDPR.

2.3 – Integrated third-party services

  • Stripe – payment processing (PCI-DSS certified)
  • GitHub / GitLab – OAuth integration for repository access
  • AI providers – inference for content generation

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 – Releasy's rights

All elements of the Releasy website and platform — source code, interfaces, generation algorithms, trademarks, logos, texts, visuals and documentation — are the exclusive property of Peltek / Releasy and are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction, even partial, requires prior written authorisation.

3.2 – User-generated content

Release notes and changelogs produced by the Service from the Customer's data belong entirely to the Customer. Releasy claims no rights over this content.

3.3 – Open-source components

Releasy incorporates open-source software components subject to their respective licences (MIT, Apache 2.0, etc.). These licences do not affect users' rights over the Service itself.

Prohibited actions

It is strictly prohibited to copy, decompile, reverse engineer or extract any part of the Releasy platform for commercial or redistribution purposes.

4. Terms of Use

4.1 – Acceptable use

The user agrees to use Releasy in accordance with its stated purpose and not to:

  • Attempt to circumvent the Service's quota or security mechanisms
  • Automate use of the Service to exceed the limits of the subscribed plan
  • Connect repositories for which they do not have the necessary rights
  • Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes
  • Resell, rent or redistribute access to the Service to third parties

4.2 – Responsibility for content

The Service generates content from the Customer's data (commits, pull requests, issues). The Customer is solely responsible for reviewing, validating and publishing this content before any distribution. Releasy shall not be held responsible for the accuracy or suitability of generated content to the Customer's specific needs.

5. Personal Data Protection

5.1 – Data collected

  • Account data: email address, name, organisation
  • Billing data: information required for payment processing via Stripe
  • Git metadata: commit messages, PR and issue titles (read-only — never source code)
  • Usage data: CU consumption, generation history, access logs

5.2 – Processing purposes

  • Providing and improving the Service
  • Account and billing management
  • Technical support
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Anonymised usage statistics

5.3 – Retention periods

  • Account data: duration of active subscription + 3 years unless deletion is requested
  • Billing data: 10 years (legal accounting obligation)
  • Access logs: 12 months

6. Cookies and Tracking

6.1 – Types of cookies used

  • Essential cookies: authenticated session management, CSRF protection, preference storage (theme, language) — not subject to consent
  • Analytical cookies: anonymised audience measurement — subject to your prior consent

6.2 – Consent management

Releasy implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of data, including:

  • Git repository access strictly limited to read-only via OAuth
  • Customer environment isolation
  • Regular encrypted data backups
  • Logging of access to sensitive operations
  • Payments processed exclusively by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1)

7.2 – Limits and shared responsibility

Despite these measures, no system is infallible. Users are responsible for their own login credentials and agree to:

  • Use a strong, unique password
  • Not share credentials with third parties
  • Immediately report any suspicious access to contact{'@'}peltek.fr

8. Limitation of Liability

Releasy strives to ensure the accuracy and currency of information on the site. However, Releasy cannot be held liable for:

  • Service interruptions due to maintenance, technical incidents or third parties
  • The accuracy of AI-generated content from the Customer's data
  • Indirect damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service
  • Failures of integrated third-party services (GitHub, GitLab, Stripe, etc.)
  • Data loss resulting from events beyond Releasy's control

Liability cap

Releasy's total liability is limited to the total amount paid by the Customer during the 6 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Hyperlinks

The usereleasy.com website may contain links to third-party sites (GitHub, GitLab, Stripe, external documentation, etc.). These links are provided for information only. Releasy has no control over these sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, availability or data practices.

Creating links to usereleasy.com is permitted provided they do not harm Releasy's image or create confusion among users.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These legal notices are governed by French law. In the event of an unresolved dispute, French courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
